A warm sunny day in Redondo Beach

Is this really February? It's still winter right? It's beautiful here in Southern California and we're going to make the most of our morning!
Mommy, get out of the car! It's time for breakfast!

For breakfast we're headed to The Original Pancake House just off Pacific Coast Highway.
Ian was eyeballin Theresa's eggs.

He enjoyed his breakfast of pancake, sausage, eggs, and potatoes.
Breakfast was delicious, but we've got to work off some of those calories.

Let's check out the temperature. Those poor people in the north-east.

Here we're enjoying high 70s temps with clear sunny skies.

Instead of our usual spot, we're headed to the Redondo Beach strand.

Walking in sand is hard!

Checking out some people playing beach volleyball. He'll be out there soon enough!

Ian and I are working on a new trick. He's getting pretty good at it!

The three of us walked to the very south end of Redondo Beach (pretty close to the base of that hill in the background), then turned around and walked all the way up to the pier. Here we watched some fishermen pulling in fish and watched quite a few painters capturing their view of the pier on canvas.

Saying "hi" to a local pelican.

And watching a family of sea lions doing their own fishing below the pier.

In all, we walked over 5 miles. All that fresh air and sun must have worn him out. He fell asleep in the stroller on the way back to the car and barely stirred when he got put in his carseat.

After running a few errands, we made our way home. The trees out front were looking a little dry. Better water them. Ian loves this!

He has so much fun and he gets so soaked.

After changing clothes it was time for lunch. Enjoying some of the Korean glass noodles grammy brought over.

Having fun playing with his food!
